After Friday’s comic, I received a few messages and comments asking about the male version of the porn industry comic. I started to realize that even thought the porn industry is dominated by men, the reason they portray men with large genitalia, being ripped and extremely large in any way of their human body possible, is to overshadow the women in porn. In the meantime, what this results in, is an surrealistic example both for women and for men, both in what making love is like AND how their genitalia should look like, or what society’s standard is like.
We are constantly being showed edited bodies, bodies that went through lots of waxes, spray tans and surgery to look the way we got to see it. We need to start breaking stigma’s and allow to let real bodies take over our standards!
