Hey my Loves 💜,
I hope your Tuesday went/is going well 💜 I made this comic as it being a highly requested topic on instagram. A few lovely women have already reached out and opened up about their insecurities about having gone through pregnancy, then giving birth with or without a c-section.
After giving birth, the attention from family members are usually all with the newborn baby, and not so much with the mother, while the mother is going through the greatest transition in her life. Apart from being bomberded into motherhood, her body has changed so much over the course of the past 9 months, frequently topped off with an (emergency) c-section surgery that she has to recover from as well.
I want to reach out to all (new) mothers: please give yourself the time to adapt and recover. Take good care of yourself and your baby first. Don’t feel pressured to do or even feel things a certain way because someone else has been through it before and they want you to believe that their way is the only way. YOU are what matters now.
Take care of yourself and your new body, take your time. All the time you need! And even though you notice the change, please know that you’re still beautifully and perfectly YOU 💜
I hope you like this one 💜 I loved making it a lot! 💜
AND I LOVE YOU OF COURSE!!! 💜💜💜💜
